Neuroscience in video game research
The Digital Psychology Lab (Digi Lab) recently hosted a class from the Graz International Bilingual School. Together with the Department of Neuropsychology, the students were offered fascinating insights into the basics of neuroscience. An interactive workshop allowed the students to interact with their own brain activation while controlling a virtual environment.
By providing students with insights into their own brain activation and allowing them to navigate a virtual environment, this workshop provided a hands-on experience that combined the principles of neuroscience with the immersive world of video games. Such initiatives not only promote understanding, but also demonstrate the practical applications of neuroscience and potentially spark students' interest and curiosity about the brain and its relationship to activities such as video games.
