The first FUTURE EDUCATION Award was presented on September 4, 2024 as part of the FUTURE EDUCATION Conference 2024. Stefan Huber received an award for his outstanding research achievements.
Stefan Huber received the Paper Award 2024 for his research paper “Game elements enhance engagement and mitigate attrition in online learning tasks”.
This award was intended to recognize and reward outstanding transdisciplinary research achievements in the research areas covered by the conference. The award was endowed with prize money of €1,000.
The criteria for the evaluation were:
- Transdisciplinary approach: the research should integrate methods, theories and frameworks from two or more disciplines
- Innovation and originality: submissions must present novel ideas, methods or results that advance research related to education
- Research excellence: rigorous methodological implementation
